Mission

To use womanist biblical interpretation to transform the lives of women within urban communities who are baby boomers or generation Z and are re-entering the workplace, going back to school, or pursuing entrepreneurship, through financial support and training.

Vision

We are a Faith-based, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to transform the lives of women of color who are Baby Boomers and Generation Z, through reimagining the biblical narratives of women in the Bible. In doing so, we unearth barriers that have impeded women of color from advancing in relationships, careers, and life.

We aim to transform the lives of women by equipping them with the necessary tools to reclaim their agency in a patriarchal society.

The premise of Womanist Ways comes from Sheerah found in 1 Chronicles 7:24.

When looking at how we are to build cities we first must build the people and then build the people within the city. In strengthening the infrastructure of the city we need to understand city planning as well as community development within its formal pedagogical definition.

Our goals are to 1) Provide online Womanist Ways Conversations;  2) Provide one-on-one and group mentoring;  3) Provide financial support to women of color who are Baby Boomers and Generation Z that are survivors of domestic violence and/or divorce and are returning to school, work, and/or starting a business through our Begin Again Initiative; and 4) Provide training, assist with applications and resume building.
